Default It's Time For The SRT Nationals!!

Ready for some rip-roaring racing action? Then you need to check out the SRT Nationals, July 19-22, 2006, at Heartland Park Topeka, in Topeka, KS.

Dale Seeley, organizer of the event, explained the philosophy behind this celebration of the SRT lineup. "The SRT Nationals is a grassroots event with something to offer the whole family. And the SRT Nationals has everything a performance car enthusiast could hope for. It's been organized by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, with just enough corporate sponsorship to allow us to offer a first-rate schedule at a first-rate facility. There will be eight hours of road course driving with instructors available. This is the same track that NASCAR uses, and it is the new home of the SCCA road racing championships. There will be more than 20 hours of drag racing on the brand-new NHRA dragstrip, featuring several formats including testing, brackets, quick-8 exhibitions and a night under the lights." Seeley added that everything isn't about speed at the SRT Nationals. "You'll also be graded on style," he said. "We'll have 20 hours of car show judging and, with the attendance expected, we'll need every hour."

You can find out how good your audio install really is, with Sound Pressure Level and Real Time Analysis measurements, from Kicker. For those that believe that style, performance, and destruction can co-exist in one competition, the burnout contest should be one for the ages.

Seeley made another important point. "The SRT Nationals will be a family-friendly event," he said. "This means that we plan to provide access to an on-site kids' corral under a tent, with swap coolers and one of those jumping things that the kids love. Families will want to stay up-to-date through the web site with activities and options provided for making their participation easier."

In addition to all of the track and car show activities, numerous sponsors and vendors will be present to provide you their latest products and services. There will also be a huge raffle with prizes worth thousands of dollars.

All Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, and Jeep vehicles are encouraged to attend and participate in all of the activities.

You and me both.

Let's see, hopefully my tires from Tirerack come in today so I can get them mounted tomorrow. I bought (4) 205/50/17 Sumitomo HTR Z II's because they are cheap as hell but still a decent Z rated tire. Thanks Dale for the recommendation Anything that has a better tread rating and is more quiet than the KDW 2's

I also need to fix the spark plug issue which Dale as well is helping me out on. Thanks again miracle man . Hopefully that is also directed to my electrical misfit. I'm banking on it.

I need to detail my car. Cut/buff/orbital wax & seal.

Finish my TL retro in time for the nats . Doesn't look good time-wise because I have to finish SRTPusher's retro before I can get back to work on mine. I might have to finish it while I'm there
