Default Ac

You could get the AC in the 1st Gen ACR as an option (mine has it since I ordered it that way) but yes, the original ACRs had nothing else..no sunroof, manual windows, no sound deadening but they had the 4 wheel discs, Koni adjustable blacks and the beefier swaybars front and rear. They also had the foglights deleted so you have these two empty holes in the front valance that some engineer figured you could use for brake ducts. You can't miss em' coming down the road but it looks like the foglights got ripped off. I also think they had a 16:1 steering rack which was not on the production cars. But boy, they could handle in the turns and if the new SRT-4 ACR is anything like the 1st Gen, not only will it crank in a straight line, but be a kick on the road courses. Might be a little too boosty for Autox (like my turbo I/C F**d Mustang SVO), but I'm sure someone here knows that better than me.

B*tching about the "shade" of white from what you can see on a computer monitor? Complaining that the wheels are too small?? Not knowing what the ACR designation represents??? Saying you're gonna' sell your SRT simply to buy one in a different color???? Not understanding why the SRT-4 will be going "buh-bye" in 2006?????

i bought my first neon in 99 which was an early 00' and even then i told my sales man point blank that i actually wanted a Neon ACR but at the time DCX was uncertain asto if they were going to produce it. So i settled for my 00' ES 5 speed and proceeded to purchase an 87 Daytona Z, 86 Omni GLHS and when it finally arrived an 01' ACR. Currently i have several mopar projects of my own that are on temporary hold but i donot regret one bit waiting patiently for my 2nd neon..the ACR and im gonna do it yet again. Im neondan for a reason and up until a year ago i was ACR2NV but decided the name was not truthfull in meaning so until i own an ACR again im NeonDan. Anyhow my point is like it was said before some of us have been loyal to mopar since before the SRT4

Default ACR Option Available Now

Just came from my local Dodge dealer where I test drove my first SRT-4. I pushed them a bit and they told me that the ACR Competition Package is available now for order. Using option code ACR, the upcharge of $1,195 shows up on the Mopar configurator. I believe the mystery is gone.. Just go see your friendly Dodge dealer and order yours.

Mine will be on order in a week or so.

i could care less about the color although it dont look too bad but i wonder if there is a way to order the sway bars and the suspension for my srt, i mean the whole package is 1100 dollars if i was to call mod performance it would cost me more than 7-800 for just the struts/swaybars.
in other words if you get rims, tires, swaybars, adj. struts and seats with holes in them for $1100 what would i pay for just the bars and struts fron the dealer?????

you can't get it for anywhere close to that cheap because you are replacing the factory pieces you already bought. The package costs DCx about $900 MORE than what it costs them for the usual SRT parts, so if they were to sell it as an add-on kit it would be much more expensive. Hell, those BBS wheels are about $315 a piece, plus ~$130 for each tire, ~$600 for the shocks, paybe $200 for the swaybars (we don't know which sways they are yet, sadly), and then the 'new' seats are who knows how much.

the acr is just an options package on the regular SRT-4. they will have the exact same colors available. The image on the Dodge website does look a lot like the cool vanilla crap on the 300 and Magnum, but that is not what the new color is for the SRT-4.

Those 24" tires look awful short, or are they going to lower it and change the angle of the shaft and cause problems. ah

Does anybody know for sure what BBS wheels the ACR SRT-4 uses?
I'd like to know in order to look up wheel weights.
