I am missing something. I can't find the ACR option on the site. It is probably right in front of me as well. $1,195 over the base price, car is carrying a heavier tag. I think it will be worth it though.

different wheels and tires, upgraded shocks and swaybars, and slots in the seats for a racing harness. Details are in many different threads here and should be on the dodge website real soon.
Just wanted to post up a reminder to let everyone know that the SRT-4 ACR edition will be available soon, and the SRT-4 can be ordered in white as well. The Dodge website already shows the White as an available color if you "build and price" your own unit.
Wow… and here I thought all that time fighting ignorant trolls in WS would never pay off… I feel so honored that they named a car after me. THey even matched my skin tone! Guess I'll have to buy one now.

lol, i whent to dodge becase i dident think they would mess up like chevy did with the cobalt.. but why on earth woudl they give you smaller wheels? and make no apearenece upgrades at all and change the seats and already performance tuned suspention???? i dont under stand car makers at all..... so how much more are these fuckers going to charge us for an ACR sticker?? american car remake...... they make a "new" car thats the same as last and throw stickers on it.. simply amazing
i can't agree with you more, but for some odd reason i already started saving for a white one 2 months ago. i'm thinking about putting down $4000-5000 so i asked my local dealer to hound me as soon as they get a white one with or without the acr package and with a sunroof. i could care less for the acr package. i just want a sunroof and white. thats all.

ummm tell me does your stock srt currently have adjustable struts? also does it have 225 tires on the stock rims? if you knew anything about scca club racing you would know that most racer prefer smaller rims sizes mostly 14-16in..... i would gladly take a set of 16's with 225 series tires over 17x6 rims with narrow ass 205 tires.........it also includes bigger sway bars, harness slots for racing harness'......but obviously you never really knew what the original acr neons were about.

its ok young grasshopper lol sorry i didnt mean for my post to come off so harsh, but yea its going to be worth it.
Hello all. This is my first post here. I have owned a 98' Neon (1st Gen) ACR DOHC Coupe that I used mostly for Solo2 and some open track days and I'm sad to report I had a nice winter accident yesterday (see below) that destroyed the fender, front valence and lamps, along with bending a tie rod end and tweaking the front-end geometry nicely. it's probably time to retire it from daily driver status and make it purely a track car. I've been looking at the SRT-4 and now have learned here that there will be an ACR version which I'm stoked about. Anyone have any other info on availablity and the price upcharge? The dealers know nothing. The same is true for the Dodge website. if the new ACR is anything like mine, it'll be the bomb to drive. My ACR was the best handling car I've ever owned and there were a couple of Ford Mustang SVOs on that list in the 80s. Too bad Chrysler isn't bringing back the Neon Challenge Series!
Also keep in mind the ACR edition in the 1st gen Neons had no a/c, a better suited steering rack, no power acc. or sunroofs, & did we already mention the suspension? Ya, it is better suited for all out racing not just straight lines.....
