Default Dodge Avenger - The next SRT vehicle???

The folks at Daimler Chrysler Group recently had the all new Dodge Avenger on display at the Paris Auto Show.

Edmunds.com had this to say...

"The Avenger's profile is characterized by a long hood, a high-gloss black B-pillar, a short deck lid and a rear spoiler. Other details include 19-inch five-spoke painted satin silver wheels and all-season performance tires, along with chrome-tipped dual exhaust outlets. The concept is outfitted with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that Chrysler said "could be sold in markets outside North America." Not surprisingly, it is painted in Dodge's signature color, inferno red.

The Avenger is the sister car to the Sebring. It will go on sale in the United States in the spring. Dodge plans to sell the vehicle in Europe, although it has yet to spell out a timetable for its global rollout."

Click on over to Dodge's website where you can build your future Avenger.

http://www.dodge.com/en/avenger/build-price/index.html

Once you have picked your trim level, click on the Future Options link. Daimler Chrysler would like to know what you want to see in the new Dodge Avenger.

One of the options is a Hight Output Turbo-charged Engine .

C'mon guys and girls... As DodgeTweaker said, you have a perfect opportunity to speak up about what you want in your next car!!

Ausome, looks like a G35 on drugs.
Sorry, but why is Dodge making such ugly cars these days.
I'm really thinking seriously of going back to Ford as in Shelby GT 500.
At least it looks like an American car and not a typical "Ich Bin Ein Berliner" car just like all the others DCX is making for the past 3 years.

Looks better than the Caliber but I agree with Simon S., there are much better looking cars available. Now the new Challenger = me in love.

So much for the avenger coupe. I have a 3.0L avenger that could be considered an r/t Would be nice to see an srt-4 version of this though.

Actually, most are hoping this will be the next SRT6 with the new 4.0 V-6 and turbocharged.

I wouldn't count on a SRT-4, more likely a SRT-6 based on the looks of the engine packages. Certainly looks better than the caliber.

Coy!! What's up man!! I wish you lived a little closer man... I'd probably drink more beer!

I gotta give you a call one of these days and catch up!!

Hopefully all you clowns are making Ethan look good and sending in those configurations of the Avenger. Remember, if we keep pushing the performance side, they will make it an SRT. C'mon... let's give Tweaker another toy to make fast!!!

If only he'd post once in a while.
Maybe this will work...
Hey Ethan, can ya make an SRT Cobra
Just kidding.
But seriously, this Avenger looks too much like all the other cars Dodge has made lately.
Can't they come out with something a little more sexy?
Wait, I got it, maybe Ethan can work on the SRT Challenger
Yeah, that would be really good.

I like it. I went to the Avenger site and built a nicely equipped SXT model with a 300HP Turbo 4 cylinder for $22k.
