Default Chrysler positive outlook continues - Thx to the Dodge Charger

Chrysler may soon have another hit on its hands. The Auburn Hills, Mich., unit of DaimlerChrysler AG says it has taken 20,000 orders and identified 85,000 potential buyers for the 2006 Dodge Charger sedan, which went into production this week.

Not even the Chrysler 300 sedan, the automaker's biggest hit in years, posted such strong early numbers. "To us, it's a good indication of the interest level in this vehicle," Chrysler spokesman Rick Deneau said.

But the four-door revival of the classic muscle car will face stiff competition in the midsize sedan category now ruled by the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

Chrysler will build the Charger at its plant in Brampton, Ontario, and expects to have the first models in dealerships by early next month.

How is that even a legitimate comparison?

I love this car. If I didn't have the SRT4, I'd seriously consider getting into even deeper financial hell and get a Charger SRT8.

I second that opinion, but that is not a bad thing.

pricing on the charger is going to be less than the magnum......a fully loaded charger r/t is going too be like 36k compared to 37k for a loaded magnum. choice of two engines, 3.5 and 5.7 all chargers come standard with esp and auto stick.....standard boston acoustics sounds on the sxt and r/t

Default Hybrid BS

I get excited and frustrated at the same time when I read press releases like this for this reason. America doesn't want hybrid's, fuel cells, electric cars. The last three passenger cars DCX has released, big, throaty, rear wheel drive, V8's!!!!!!

This is what American's still love to drive. I know that hybrids are selling good, and that there is a responsible place for them, but quit trying to shove them down our throats.
