And if the answer i get is "This is the internet, get used to it." No. I refuse. I am a member of several automotive forums and all of them have a higher level of class and maturity than this forum (with possible exception to neons.org).

If you ask me... you should make it a paid forum. That'll weed out some of the undesirables, and keep it more attractive to true enthusiasts. Im sure many of people you complain about would rather spend a few bucks on carbon-fibre foglight surrounds than a good technical forum.

This place is filled with useless "Look at my car" posts, and very very very little useful information. And the useful information is so hard to find it gives me a headache to weed through all the reposts and mis-information to find the right answers to any question.

I would be more than happy to volunteer as a moderator, or perhaps there are others that would like the job... but certainly more are needed.

This begs the question, why are you still here? Get over it.

If you don't like it leave. No one cares what you think and ekool and the other admins are going to do what they want. BTW....i would never pay to be a member of this forum and I have been reading here long enough to remember when this site was both useful and informative.

So the truth comes out, this whole time I'll bet, the main goal of your tirade was to suggest yourself as a moderator.

Thanks, but no thanks.

We run open forums here, for better, or for worse. If you dont like it, or it offends you, as others have suggested... you may wish to move on.

ekool, i totally understand your frustration when people start demanding things from a free service. but at the same time, i kinda agree with CONTRAPTION22. although bad words are not filtered in the posts, it might be a little strong (or distasteful) to have it on the main page. especially when it is posted by the admin (whom bascially sets the maturity example for his own forum). in other words, you probably could of accomplished the same same effect by just putting ass****** or somethin like that. again, this is just my opinion and i don't want to tell you how to your run your own forum. and either way, it's still an awesome place.

I love the freedom this site offers! Ekool don't let the weenies tell you how to run your site! And to those who complain about the lack of good info, I have always found that the autocross, performance modifications, and high tech tuning forums to have plenty of interesting and usefull information. And the vendor forums are a great resource to have as well. And now we will have input from MOPAR again too! Again great site Ekool don't change a thing!

Again, I'm not telling him how to run his site. Just stating my opinion. I guess you failed to read the last sentence of my post.

Ekool good job with the site keep up the good work we like to see Janet Jacksons breasts without people whining and crying. I hate censorship can you tell. If you want a clean forum for srt's then start your own. I would rather have someone speak their mind to me than behind my back and thats what censorship breeds is someone talking behind peoples backs. If you wish to say (asshole) you should be able to. I say it almost everyday driving haha. It lets the steam off. Tell it like it is everything up front. Kudos to Ekool to sticking to his gameplan and not letting others run the show. Its your forums and run them how you see fit. Now flame away cause I know ya wanna but don't swear plz its not professional.

ill keep my response short as i can while bringing up a few things.
·"asshole" = not really a genius thing to go onto srtforums.com main page.
·"asshole" = not a big deal
·caps = not a big deal
·this site has gone downhill a bit as far as useful information (filled with loads of junk threads lately) mostly because nobody believes in using 'off topic' (or perhaps
·supplimental moderators would probably not be a bad thing.
·i would not mind paying a small fee to enjoy full access to this site
·site staff and vendors look bad when involved in pissing matches
·i paid for srtoc 2 1/2 months ago with no signs of gear or response to gear inquiry
·i appreciate having a forum to learn everything possible about my car

Agreed. Some people don't seem to want to use the internet on their own, they want sum1 holding their hand every step of the way. Instead of simply reading the info when the signed up and rechecking their inbox, they bitch and moan and get all mad about not being able to sign up. Then, they send an angry letter to ekool, who does not have time to read their stupid email b/c he has more important things to do, like running the forum. And when he does read their email, he is about out of patience trying to run the forum. So all they will do is make him explode. In my opinion, the best way to make sum1 want to help you is ask politely, if you piss them off, they will hate you before they even know a thing about you. About the forum haters, this forum is fine, just stay in the tech section when you want honest info, that's where I spend most of my time. You can usually tell by the way replies are written whether or not sum1 who replies has a clue what they are talking about. And no, I don't think we should have to pay. The SRT OC has a fee if you're looking around for a nice fee that you can pay. Tuning is expensive, and many of us are eating stale bread and water just to afford gas, so we can't pay yet another fee. And most of us who are tuners would have never become tuners if not for this site, myself included. We may have got parts for our cars, but we would never have mustered the courage to install it ourselves. This is my favorite website on the whole internet, thanks ekool! Now all you h8ers can just keep ur mouth shut or leave.

You wanna pay? Become a member of the SRToc, and then you can
hang out in the SRToc forum. There you will find lots of information,
and you will feel better because you paid to be a part of a particular
forum. Less of the "undesireables" as you call them.
