Default Cant Post? Cant Reply? Wondering Why? READ THIS!

I have been swamped with emails from people who cant post, cant reply, and they are wondering why.

Some of them are rude assholes to me, some of them are nice. If your reading this, take a second to ask yourself, which category you are in. If your email to me was all caps, or you used nice demanding words about activating your FREE ACCOUNT, you might need to re-evaluate approaching people in the future.

With that being said, 99.9999% of the time, the reason you cant log in is because you did not activate your account.

No, I didnt forget to send the email. It was sent, but your ISP could have blocked it, it could have been delivered to your "BULK" inbox, or "SPAM" folder.

Now... How do you fix the problem? Well, you can accomplish this on your own. You can tell the system to resend the auth request, by going here:

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/regi...o=requestemail

If you are unable to get the email, you should seriously consider talking to your ISP, and asking them why they are blocking legitimate email.

If you have MSN/Hotmail check your "Junk" folder!!! In an effort to really clamp down on SPAM they now file away any suspicious e-mail. All of my blanket account e-mails are sent to my "Junk" folder (i.e., ebay, srtforums, bank statements, cell phone bills, etc.). It can be frustrating, hope this helps.

Ekool: sucks you have to deal with ass-hats, I really don't know what to tell you about that.

I would like to say "Thanks" though. You run a really great site that I never would have imagined could become so popular... Props.

Anybody else find it offensive to have the word "assholes" right on home page of our automotive forum?

I'm all for keeping this orderly and mature in this forum. But... one of the first ways i would start to keep the troublemakers in line is to set a good example.

The SRT-4 is a hot car in the overall auto enthsuisasts world. Many people of all ages will come accross this site when doing a simple web search for "SRT-4" And by showing that kind of language right there on the home page, makes the whole community look bad.

Just my $.02

But anyway. Thanks for your efforts to clean up the forum.

Deal with as many assholes as I do, who demand things from you when you are giving them a service for free... day in, day out... over and over, the same thing.

Then come back and preach to me.

Ekool - kudos to you for running this site and keeping us happy when we're not esconed in our Viper (or R/T) seats.

To the people that piss ekool off - no sympathy from me either

I'm a net admin - I deal with you caps lock people all day. You should be licensed to use the intarweb! Magnetic "L"'s or "N"s on your monitors should do the trick (other BC peeps know what I'm talking about

Not looking to start a flame war here, just saying I understand where ekool is coming from. Again mate, kudos and much virtual beer to you.
