Is this an alien idea to you? You've been around the block for a while on this forum, i thought the concept would be pretty normal at this point.
So why would the engine go and blow up? See i'm one of the people on here that doesnt go balls to the wall every time i get in the car or when i go to pick up something from the grocery store or head to work, those #'s are playtime numbers and i'm very cautious of what the car is doing, thus me having failsafes and monitoring gauges.
and nevermind that since that dyno i've added another 20,000+ miles to the car with no issue.
