For people with 2 stage WI, where are you installing your injectors?

What psi range can the boost switches be tuned for?

Hey CoolingMist, (sorry, I don't have a name).

Would ice cubes (colder water) in the tank help the system at all?

I would guess that ice water would make make some crazy power..as colder air is more dense. This is something that would be good to test

switched to a denatured alcohol/water mix (50/50) but I have been taking it easy since I am due in for more service work on monday. I can definetly feel a difference in the mornings though, aside from the colder weather the water in the bottle is colder...and feels like its making a difference.

The ice would make a difference, but the difference between no w/i and w/i is going to be much greater than that of w/i to w/i with ice. The reason for this is it takes 540cal/g to make water evaporate--this is not inlcuding temperature change, you can add this energy at 100 degrees Celsius and not change the temperature because it needs to change phases first.

With ice, you will have water cooled to near 4 degrees centigrade. Let's assume that you have normally been running on a very hot day and your tank of water is at 45 degrees centigrade. This makes the temperature difference of ice / no ice around 41 dgrees Celsius. To increase the temperature of 1 gram of water, it takes 1 calorie of energy.

Now, it takes 540 times that energy to cause the water to evaporate. Forty-five divided by 540 is about .083, meaning it is going to lower the energy (temperature) of the charge by about 8.3%. Not terribly much, but make of it what you will.

I have been reading a European WI forum and one thing that was brought up was using RC Nitro fuel in the tank. So yesterday I checked with my local hobby store to find out how much this stuff costs.I can get a 32oz container of 30% nitromethane foe $11.99. Now I have not tried this yet but from what I have been reading some guys are picking up 50 hp by useing a 30/70 mix of nitro fuel and water. Anybody want to try it out. It is not something I would want to use on a daily basis but at the track it would be a nice kick.
