Default CBD PVO fiberglass fitment ?

Hey guys. I bought a fiberglass CBD PVO style wing a few months ago and finally got it painted/installed. I'm having difficulty getting it to line up properly at the outside edges. There's a pretty significant gap that I can't close up with the adhesive tape. I test fit the wing without removing the tape (before and after paint) and noticed the gaps, but thought the adhesive might pull it flush, but it doesn't. The gap is about 1/8" and is between the vertical part of the trunk and the back/lower portion of the wing. Are there any 'tricks' to installing this particular wing? At work I've installed maybe 10-15 similar OEM wings on new cars and haven't experienced this situation before. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks, Quentin
