I ordered my set the other day. I went with the 17x8.25's in chromium black with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in 245/40. I wanted to go with the flat black but after my bad experience with my Motegi flat blacks fading and some how getting stains on them I am not doing flat colors anymore. I just wish they had these in a glossy black. These should be getting to my house around the same time my car arrives in Texas from Germany so the wait won't bother me at all.
It's funny that all you guys are ordering these and sticking fat-ass tires on 'em, since they were created with the slammed, stretched tire community in mind
Conversation in PM's with the almighty stowaway decided my tire size and he helped pick me a good tire also. If I had a slammed/ stanced what ever appearance my front bumper would be eaten up from driveway than it already is.
low speed traction IS the biggest hurdle in a standing mile run. Get a better launch and you can have a 5+ mph difference at the end of the run for an average car. A more powerful car can mean a 15mph difference if you spin too much or bog.
boost by gear with the EMS will help but 1st gear i should be fine seeing that i dont think ill spool in 1st even tho i have a extended 1st.... but once i hit 2nd and spool im gonna have it tuned for maximum traction and minumum spin i know its gonna be hard and its gonna take alot of runs to get the car the where i want it.. but hopefully the dyno can provide me a great tuning device
Lucky Bastard. Mine will be shipping in mid to late May so that is perfect time for my car to show up in Dallas at the VPC, so the wait doesn't bother me.
