I was curious if these would fit on stock suspension for now as I will be installing goldlines in the next few weeks. Also i did not want to go with 18's because of a performance loss will this drastically affect my performance i believe they weigh in at 20lbs.
Yes I have read the sticky and it didnt really answer the question it gives some generalizations. offset of 42 seems high when i look at the generalizations but i know todd got some with i believe 48 on the back of his car. That also didnt talk to much about lowered cars as far as i could tell. I plan on doing goldline springs and I am not sure if that will affect it.
I was also curious if you guys thought the 18's would seriously hinder performance or if it wouldnt make much difference.
lol the tread is almost gone on them it would only be to get them on my car at first they are used but I think I am going to go for the 17's i just dont know if I will have to run a spacer with a 42mm offset when i wanna get 245's on them

Lets compare your questions to what the Wheel & Tire Tech thread says...
1. Your first question asks if 18x7.5 5x100 35 offset wheels with 225/40/18 tires will fit.

There are other sizes that can be used but they will either be slightly smaller or larger in overall diameter.
2. Your next question asks if they will fit with Goldline springs.

Hard cornering, passengers in the back seat and extreme bumps in the road can cause rubbing. There is no way around this. If you want those phat looking 8.5" wide wheels to go along with the massive drop on your coilovers than prepare for the fenders and tires to constantly be in contact. The good thing about coilovers is that you have the ability to adjust the height to give you the clearances needed. So please, don't ask if a certain wheel and tire will fit on your coilovers because common sense will tell you that if it doesn't you need to RAISE THE CAR! On lowering springs you don't have that luxury. Just be aware when you buy those mega drop lowering springs if you plan to buy wider wheels in the future.
Follow the fitment guide provided in this sticky thread and you should not have issues with rubbing UNLESS your car is too low as stated above. Other things that may exhibit rubbing might be a tire too tall (taller than 25.4") or a wheel offset that is too low (less than 35mm). If you follow the fitment guide you should be ok.
3. Your third question asks if 17x7.5 5x100 42 offset wheels fit.

It will all depend on the spoke design of that particular wheel. There are plenty of wheels with a 42mm or 45mm offset that fit but there are also just as many that do not.
I will add this, 98% of the time a 42 offset wheel in a 7.0-7.5 width will always clear. In the event that it doesn't, a harmless 3mm spacer is all that is needed to give you the caliper clearance.
Yes i understand that most of those are in most cases and the most common/popular application I am asking for more of a has anyone had a chance to try similiar specd wheels and had them fit and if so what mods and what not. I read through the sticky and I did see what is "RECOMMENDED" i want to know what the limits are beyond recommendation do you know what i mean? I am not trying to be a dick and the wheels and tires section is really helpful but im trying to see my options outside of what is recommended.
Which wheels do you guys personally like better.
or
Yes both in bronze and the hairpins are 18's while the stingers are 17's unless i can get the hairpins in 17's

I don't think you understand.
There really is no gray area. The information provided in the sticky is from trial and error from many others over the years who have tried MANY different wheel/tire combinations. Also there are basic measurements in regards to wheel and tire dimensions and their relation to caliper and suspension clearance of the SRT-4 that are ALWAYS THE SAME.
A 18x7.5 35 offset wheel and 225/40/18 tire will ALWAYS FIT. The sticky thread tells you this.
On stock suspension? YES.
On lowered suspension? YES ONLY IF THE MAXIMUM LOWERED HEIGHT IS NOT EXCEEDED. The sticky thread tells you this.
Goldline springs lower the car about 1.5". The sticky thread tells you that this drop is within the range where rubbing is NOT an issue given the proper wheel and tire dimensions are being used. Which in the case of the example above, you are!
I don't mean to be hard on you but I'm just trying to point out that the sticky thread takes all the guess work out. I've tried my best to make the sticky thread as clear as possible. If I have not been able to prove this, please tell me how I can improve the sticky.
The whole purpose is to help you guys understand how wheel/tire fitment works for this car. I want someone not knowing a damn thing about wheels to be able to read it and know exactly what wheel size, offset and tire size to buy for his or her ride.
