Default whats your take on the XXR 518's???

I'm thinking of either buying Work Emotion CR Kai's or XXR 518's. I was wondering what your guys' take on the best size would be on the 518's... I have BC coilovers (non-inverted) with stock calipers.

17" x 7" 5/100 48 offset 19 lbs $129.99
17" x 8.5" 5/100 48 offset 21.6 lbs $129.99
18" x 7" 5/100 48 offset 20 lbs $149.99
18" x 8.5" 5/100 48 offset 23.5 lbs $149.99

got the info from this site
XXR 518 - Gold Wheels - Wheel Size & Price Details - 1010tires.com

From the looks of it, I could go up in size and out for traction at the negligible cost of $20 per wheel with the 18x8.5. That would be my first pick but I also like the 17x8.5 because I could get traction and same rim size (as stock) for about the same weight as the stock rim. Thoughts?

also, anybody know what the wheel bore size is??? i can't find it and i want to make sure that they'll fit...

what will i need to do to make the 48 offset fit? an 8 mm spacer?

The rims are fine they are good priced. I like there mesh ones they sell check on the off set some cars have problems with that because of the calipers. There is a rim off set topic on the forum youll have to look it up.I say go for it if you like the design.

17x8.5 is possible but not in a 48mm offset. The recommendation for a 17x8 wheel is a 35mm to be on the safe side and that is with coilovers. Not even sure a 7.5 inch wheel will fit with a 48mm offset and if it did, you would probably not want to go wider than a 225/45 tire.

I by no means know for sure that it won't fit but from everything I read, I would try to find a different offset or limit myself to a 7" wide wheel at a 48mm offset.

so then you think the 17x7 in 48 is my best bet of the 4 options? i haven't seen any other offsets in our bolt pattern...

Truthfully, I am not ever sure the 17x7 48mm offset will work but that would be your best bet out of the 4 options.

Here is the thread you want to read before buying - The WHEEL & TIRE TECH Thread

Ahhh..sometimes reading owns me.

BTW - In your original post, you mention 8mm spacers. To run 8mm spacers safely, you should get extended studs all the way around. I ran 5mm spacers on the rear with stock studs and didn't feel like I was getting enough threads.
