Default What would you do?

I had my car aligned and new tires mounted last week at my Ex's uncles car shop. When he was done he said he scraped the rims a little when putting the tires on. I looked and some scrapes are deep gouges into the metal. I mean i know they are stock rims with 65,000 miles on them so they weren't perfect but this happened to a certain degree on each wheel, the worst being the front drivers side. After i told my ex, she mentioned something to him and he said he would pay for a new set, Which is out of the question in mind-i would never ask for that. What would you do in this sitaution? he only charged me $115 for the alignment and mounting, which came out to $150 on the real bill. He has also worked on my car in the past diagnosing a CEL light, which he spent nearly 2 hours on until we found the actual problem(smoke machine, Scanner tools and all that were used), he never asked a dime for the two hours he could have spent working on something else. I do have a set of 17x7's in the attic, which i was thinking he can mount tires on for me when he gets the touchless machine running. I just wanna get some opinions

Ehh accidents happen. EX. I put 4 tires on my car the other day, and I scratched every wheel will dismounting them. Some tires are a bitch to take off, trust me, I've mounted hundreds of thousands of em. But I can re-paint mine, and they'll look good as new.

How deep are the scratches? what kind of tire machine were they using? if it was a table top one, I hope they clamped the rim from the outside.

If it was me personally, and they weren't very visible, I wouldn't worry about it.

Oh its visible if you are looking at the rim. I don't know how they mounted the tires cuz i went out to lunch for the hour or so, so i wasn't there. But the one wheel has a gouge about the size of a dime. I'm still upset, but at least i have another set of 17"s in the attic, its just that i am so gay for the stock SRT rims. i don't know, i just love them.
