It's supposed to be a good tire, but it's still a UHP so it isn't gonna set the world on fire either. Should be much better than stock in the wet, a little better in the dry.

Another +++ for the Kumho ASX.

Had it on the first SRT after I burned off the stock KDWs. Went through 2 sets in 3 years (lots of miles). Excellent all-season performance, decent summer performance, but most importantly; I drove 3 northern BC winters with these tires. Excellent snow traction.

That being said, I shall never drive another SRT-4 in the snow, so I'll probably move to the SPTs.

Are any of the recommended tires really noisy? I have a set of Kumho 712's that I'm replacing and they're incredibly noisy like the stock KDW tires. I definitely want to avoid that.

I need to get new tires soon i dunno what to pick as some of the tires listed on the original post are old.

Are these any good.....

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
Pilot Exalto PE2

PS i currently have Bridgestone Potenza R050a, i like them better than the stock KDW's. I would like something equivalent to the R050a's but maybe not so expensive.

The grip from either of those will be a little less than the RE050a. Look at the new Continental ExtremeContact DW.

Some of the tires listed are noisy, but I can't really run down the whole list.

I'm looking at the Kumho SPT's specifically. From what I read, no one complains about the noise on them.

They aren't noisy unless you cause uneven wear through bad alignment, but then any tire will get noisy if you do that. They are a pretty good general use tire, perfect for a daily driver.

There aren't any/many tires that are 24.5"-25" tall for a 15" wheel without going to a crap all-season highway tire. 225/50-15 is the closest that will have some performance tires available but is still tall enough not to look out of place on the car.
