question about tires and hooking up.

I have a stock srt4 at the moment :/ but im looking into starting to modify it and im trying to make sure it will hookup before i start putting more power into ito it, and i have noticed that when i see videos of these cars with lots of power it seems like all anyone is doing is spinning the shit out of the stock tires. Im wondering whats a good drag radial that wont spin if im makin around 400whp because thats what my goal for the car is. Are 255's to big to fit ? and would it be necessary to roll the fenders?? Is a tire that big even necessary to have on this car? I would like a fat tire cause i like the way that looks but really i just want to no whats a way to insure my car can actually put the power down to the street. Thanks guys!
