Default Question about Hankook RS2 235/40/17 tires?

Any of you guys runnign these tires? Next week im going to pick up a set of rims with these tires. I was just wondering how they preformed and how long they lasted during daily use. And are any of you guys using a 235 size tire? I knwo its going to be way better than the 205's im running on stockers, but you think my gas mileage is going to go down the tubes using such a big tire? And any suggestions or comment would help out. Thanks guys

this size tire needs an 8" wide wheel.

The tire might make 20k miles, 15k more likely.

They are much better in the dry and about the same in the wet, in terms of performance.

They are quieter than the stock KDW2 tires.

They are shorter than stock by almost 1" so you're speedometer will not read correctly (off a few mph) and you'll get slightly worse fuel mileage due to turning more rpms for the same mph.

Very good tire for the price you pay... The acceleration gone a be faster, but a worse fuel mileage because it's shorter!

I had those tires, they are pretty good tires for the price. These tires on the rain feel great, I've never lost control even on the rainiest days. The wear on the tire was also very good, I'm an aggresive driver and the tires lasted me about a year and ahalf. They do squeal a bit on quick turns. But all n all I think Hankooks are underrated & are great tires for the price.

not much benefit at all, but if you already have 8" wide wheels, may as well get the wider tire.
