Just got my 16x6 VW steelies with 215/55/16 Dunlop Winter Sport M3 tires on...does this look OK to everyone?...I just didn't think they would stick out like they are...

What size steelies will also allow me to run 225 DR's?

Default **Discount Tire Has what we need in stock.**

I just ordered today the 15x6 steel black wheels with 195/65R15 Hankook 404 winter tires. This is probably the perfect winter tire combo you can find. It only cost me 452 mounted, balanced and shipped to my front door. The 195/65 tire has an outside diamter of 25.1" Our stock KDW's have an outside diameter of 25.4". So as you can see this combo is only slightly smaller than stock. Also it is a little skinnier which is a good thing in the snow and ice. So if anyone is interested do a search for 15" rims with a 5x100 pattern and you will see the wheels I'm talking about. They are 55 bucks each. Then do a search for winter tires that measure 195/65 15 and you will see the Hankooks for 55 bucks each. After you add in the valve stems it brings it up to 452 with free mounting balancing and shipping. ENJOY.

Please let us know how these fit. Also is that for a standard SRT4 or a ACR?

I have a question... how the hell did you get that page on discount tires? The ones with the 15 inch rims, they only show tires that match our sizes...

215 45 R17 fit SRT stock rims quite well, and that is what I drive with all winter.

I ordered this combo a few months ago and just installed them tonight. The rims do fit and do not hit the caliper (close though ~1.19 mm clearence). The tires feel so different, very jello like (though it's a tall wall winter tire so to be expected); they are also quieter than the stock tires. I got new open ended lug nuts (12 x 1.5 open end tapered seat) just incase the stock bottomed out. The only problem I see is that they are lug centric and it just seems strange since our rims are hub centric; I calle discount tire direct about it and they told me that that is the way the steels are and lug centric is the norm for them.

i am running studded hankook 404's 225/45r17 on my stock rims. These tires provide the best traction I've ever used. I live in the North East Kingdom and never had a problem getting from point A to B.
