I know 18's will look better ,but with 17's you have a wheel that work better in the track(less wheel hoop) .
Yes and no,if your serious about the track you wont be running your stock wheels anyways, let alone your stock tires.Even though I cut 2.0 60ft's with my 18's at the track,I dont use them.Kosei K1's FTW!! (slicks). Lol. What did you end up paying for the wheels plus tires?

^^^ my bad....just frustrated again my rims are not in stock ANYWHERE
Hit up the VWVortex boards....there seems to be an abundance of "I bought rims I can't afford" over there and they run mostly the same sizes we do on a lot of the V-Dubs.
^^wiggyx you are still retarded for not reading the post properly....good try tho
What really gets me is that, while pointing out how much of a dumb "amerikkkan" I am, you fail to use anything that even closely resembles proper grammar and punctuation. Good job Mr. High and mighty. You've proven that your superior education has [sarcasm] not [/sarcasm] gone to waste. Now go wash the sand out your vagina you cry baby.
those look great...i want to get the 18's in black but dont know if the 18x8 with 35mm off set will rub
If you like the 18s go for it. They will look better and the performance wont suffer one bit. I have run one of my best street radial times on 225 40 18 street radials. Unless you plan on running 225 45 17s Drag radials on the 17s then the fit and performance will be pretty close to the same.
