hp racing lighting hypersiver wheels fit on srt 4 with eibach sportline springs ?
HP RACING Lightning Hypersilver Wheel Rim Package at WheelsNext.com
wondering of those rims will fit with sportline springs 2" in the front 2.4" in the rear. if not how back would the rubbing be? ive read the wheel and tire thread so dont try to point me in that direction. any comments would be appreciated thankx.
ok so most likely they will not fit without taking sportlines off and putting stock springs off or getting coilovers. if soo the cost is greater then what i can spend.
i understand what the thread says if dropped more than 2 inches then you MAY have some rubbing. im trying to find a way around this with out changing my springs again. mabe a lower profile tire instead of 225/40/18 i could go 215/40/18.

Straight from the Wheel & Tire Tech thread. SEE THE VERY IMPORTANT BOLD SENTENCE. This will answer your question.

What if my ride is lowered on springs or on coilovers? Which sizes work without rubbing?
You can avoid any kind of rubbing by maintaining a proper ride height. If your car is dropped more than 2.0 inches than expect some rubbing on anything wider than the stock wheels. Hard cornering, passengers in the back seat and extreme bumps in the road can cause rubbing. There is no way around this. If you want those phat looking 8.5" wide wheels to go along with the massive drop on your coilovers than prepare for the fenders and tires to constantly be in contact. The good thing about coilovers is that you have the ability to adjust the height to give you the clearances needed. So please, don't ask if a certain wheel and tire will fit on your coilovers because common sense will tell you that if it doesn't you need to RAISE THE CAR! On lowering springs you don't have that luxury. Just be aware when you buy those mega drop lowering springs if you plan to buy wider wheels in the future.
since you didn't say what size wheel you have (and I don't feel like looking it up right now) then the wheel make and model have ZERO influence on what size tire you need to run. All 18x7.5 w/ 38mm offset wheels will put the tire in EXACTLY the same spot. If a 225/40-18 doesn't work then you don't really have many options that don't cause some conflict elsewhere.
215 x .45 = 96.75
96.75 x 2 = 193.5
193.5/10/2.540005= 7.618''
7.618'' + 17'' = 24.62'' rolling diameter (stock is 25.07'')
Wider may have confliction with the strut assembly.
stock Michelin (03) is 25.1" but stock BFG (04-05) is 25.4". You CAN NOT just go on math. You need to pull up specs on any given tire and see what is measures. Some are wider, some taller, etc and they are all technically the same size. There are even some 205 width that have more contact patch than some 225s, and some 225/45-17s that are over 1/2" shorter than what the numbers say they should be.
