K good. And also i read about siping, which can be done at a local les schwab by my house. On both les schwabs' site and discouttire's website siping is said to increase traction by 200%. How does this affect the treadlife?

don't do it. siping helps in WINTER traction situations, and actually hurts dry grip in most situations.
