Default Discount tire chipped/scratched flat black stock wheels ( check this out)

okay, i had my wheels painted flat black by a buddy who has a body shop. Took the car in to get a new set of tires and got the wheels back all scraped and chipped up from the tire shop!!!! Now here's the best part, first i was told that they were going to have a body shop repaint the wheels. Then, I talked to someone else higher up and they were going to replace the rims with something else. Now i am being told that they bought some SPRAY PAINT and they are going to sand down the spots that are scuffed and touch them up in house. Last time i checked, the sign didnt say discount Body shop!!!! wtf

anyone have some advice on what course of action i should take or anyone wants to voice their opinion about this bs, please chime in

tell 'em you're getting a quote from the shop that painted them (your buddy) and that they'll be paying for it.

honestly I'd get whatever cash you can out of them and get them powdercoated. it'll be MUCH more durable and a more even finish as well.

by law they are not allowed to do anything like that if u had them done by a body shop then they have to have them done at a body shop dont let them spraypaint them that will take liablity off of them make them pay for them im very familiar with how tire shops work as i was a sales associate for tires plus and allied tires they have insurance for a reason and that is a reason for it call corp and complain and tell them what they wanna do and that u want it done proffesionally like before

Man, I won't trust anyone else to mount my tires except for Discount Tire. Their mountings are flawless.

I can't imagine how the hell they did that to your wheel considering that nothing comes in contact with the face. Well except the plastic/rubber roller that is used to break the bead but it does not damage the rim. I believe they use the top of the end Hunter tire machine.

I've heard of tire places like that just letting you pick out a new set of wheels instead of having to pay for new stock wheels. Looks like they really didn't know what they were doing.

they are trying to tell me that since it is flat black and has no clear coat that it was going ton scratch anyway so that is all they are going to do for me. Like i said, the first option was that they were going to let me pick out some replacement rims and then when i went to do that someone came out and looked at them again and the "in house spray paint" solution was given to me

that is seriously weak shit. because they should repair them back to orignal status, BEFORE, they fucked em up. and i dont see how the hell spray paint counts for amends.

reason #156015328970 not to do business with discount.

Discount tires are usually the sh!t when it comes to mounting and customer care............But if thier just gonna sand them and repaint them, fu@k that... Tell them your not satisfied with that. Throw a BF!!!! Tell them your part of a forum or a club that has a sh!tload of members. Then tell them how your going to post or explain how discount tires f-d you over and not recommend them to anydody..........It worth a shot.....

Or just give them a link to this ... lol. Then they decide their own fate. But by the sounds of how things are going now I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the slander card somehow
