Crome Question

hey guys, got a question for ya and i need an answer that isn't coming from a rim and tire guy trying to sell me shit....

i have 20" american racing crome rims on my truck.... i ran stock wheels and tires last winter and they were useless... i have 33" all terrains on the wheels so i was tryin to figure out, do i need winter rims and tires or can i run the cromes all year....

keep in mind these aren't shitty stick on crome type rims, they're forged and thickly plated rims.....

any advice would be appreciated.... thanks.

A winter tire will be better than an A/T when it's actually nasty outside. Skinnier tires are also better. If you're worried about the finish on the wheels then I would be very diligent on washing and cleaning the inside and outside of the wheel every couple of days if they've salted/sanded the road, and every 10ish days otherwise. I'm sure you know about the salt crust that can form on cars and that will cause pitting very easily on wheels that don't have a good clear coat on them.
