I think I am going to pony up and get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s. I think it is worth the extra $300 over the Kumhos. Unless somebody tells me something different. I could almost buy 2 sets of the Kumho ASXs for the same price but what good is it to have 2 sets of tires that I don't like.
Is there any big differnce between the 912's and the 512's?
Anyone? I just bought the 512's and noticed the 912's have the same tread wear but 10k miles more on the warranty. Is there any real big difference between the 2? If so ill change my order.

The 912's were just recently released. The 512's have been around for quite a few years. I had the 512's before and they were pretty decent all-season's. The 912's are priced good and people seem to like them so far. They're kinda like a new version of the 512. Dry grip should be somewhat similar to the stock KDW's.

They're great tires, but I didn't like them too much. Although this was mainly based on their track performance. Everyday driving they're great, good combo of wear, grip and wet weather traction. On the track, or auto-x though, they overheat way too quickly, have a lot of void aread, tread squirm, chunked 2 of them, tons of sidewall rollover and are not too great. Just depends on what you're looking for, the Goodyear is a good tire, just not for what I wanted. If you're not doing much racing, other that drag racing, I would go with the SPT's, lots of people have them and love them, hell Kevin McCormick used them on the rear of his Honda Civic and came in 2nd at solo nationals in STS.

Give the 912's a try. The 512's have been around for pretty long, so I'm sure some newer/better technology/design has been poured into the 912. If you're looking for an affordable/good year round tire I think the 912 would be a good choice.

I hope they still have the 615s in stock. Last year I tried ordering from DTD and they were out of stock (found out AFTER I placed my order) and had to order from somewhere else.
