Default BFG DR 205/40/17 on stock wheels?

Im currently looking into buying the BFG DR 205/40/17 & putting them on a set of spare factory rims. I have heard alot of mixed issues but mostly people with no problems. my friend has the 205/50/15 on set of sxt wheels & he has no problems but i dont know if i wanna put 15s on my car
what would recommended pressure be with the DR's?
Need some help!

Why would u want to go down to a 40 series with a stiffer sidewall. Hard tires=less traction.

what would be my best bet? 225/45/17 on aftermarket rims? what are some good fairly lightweight & correct offset rims?

I was just searching on ebay & came across VOLK GRAM LIGHT 57C wheels with 5x100 & are 17.5 & -48offset i believe. goodchoice????

no...48mm offset wont fit. Volk's are wayyyy overpriced...try BBS's if you got that kinda $$$

well i was on tirerack & kosei k1Racing 17x7.5 rims for $179ea. 16lb per.rim so i was thinking about those but still need to do more research
