Lightbulb ACR rims & tires *Q*

There's a possibility that I will be picking up some ACR rims in the near future. Prior to this, I have don't some pretty extensive research on the rims as they were an initial choice of mine. Don't get me wrong, 17's are great, but I couldn't really say no to a 16x7 BBS rim; i'm a sucker for BBS rims. Having said that, I HAVEN'T done TOO much research on TIRE sizes & choice w/ the ACR rim set-up. I do know that the ACR rims come w/ 225/45/16 KDWII's; my question is, since 615's DO NOT come in 225/45/16 sizes, should I sacrifice 10mm of tread-foot and go to the 215/45/16 size in the 615's to get the falkens? I was also considering the RS2's as they DO come in 225/45/16 sizes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Stowaway, I know you're there, come out and help

do you have an acr? if no, 225/50-16 is the best size to run. if yes, 215/45-16 isn't a great size to run and will be overworked fairly easily and the load capacity is not high enough. The Hankook Ventus RS-2 Z212 is the best option in the stock ACR size.

I don't have an acr. I looked up the load ratings on the 225/45/16's for the RS2's and they're listed @ a load rating of 89 (1279lbs(580kg)/tire) Which seems relatively good to me. I'd say ~40psi on that is good?

The 89 is the minimum you should run. 32psi is fine if you have that. If you run an 87XL then you'd need a 38ish psi. Since you don't have an ACR, the shorter tire is not of any real benefit and will really look bad if you aren't lowered ~3". The 225/50-16 is the same diameter as a 225/45-17 (about 1.3" taller than the 225/45-16), so it will look fine at stock height or with a normal amount of drop.
