Sorry about the double post. I'm trying to get the best tire for the money.

my experiance with the 225-45-17 i got pirelli's used for $200 all four. never had a problem break down problem.

but the side wall would buck out and poeple always thought my tires were deflated. it was not fun cornering as it felt unstable. i will never go to 225-45-17 on the stock 17-6 wheel.

as far as tracsion it was the same no better improvement what so ever.

Would a 215/45/17 tire (Fuzion ZRi) be fine on the stock wheel?

205/50 or 215/50 are the only sizes to run.

Yokohama's S.drive Lands In North America

SPT is a slightly better tire. 205/50 or 215/50 will be virtually the same performance. Choosing one over the other wouldn't show much difference in performance. The 205 is slightly shorter and lighter, which helps with acceleration, but the slightly wider 215 would have slightly better initial grip.

Yeah, that's what led me to the Kumho's. I think the 215's will be my choice. Thanks again.

here is some info i think everyone here should check out.
BFGoodrich Tires | g-Force? T/A® KDW | Tire Sizes & Specs
pay attention to the Revs/Mile at 45 mph and Overall Diameter columns. the closest match to wider tires while still maintaining the correct diameter compared to the original stock KDW2s would be as follows:

17" wheels

215/50ZR17 on a 6 min to 7.5 max wide wheel

235/45ZR17 on a 7.5 min to 9 max wide wheel

18" wheels

235/40ZR18/XL on a 8 min to 9.5 max wide wheel

265/35ZR18 on a 9 min to 10.5 max wide wheel

19" wheels

235/35ZR19/XL on a 8 min to 9.5 max wide wheel

265/30ZR19/XL on a 9 min to 10 max wide wheel

now what offsets or spacers you would need for a 10" wide wheel to be stuffed under our wheel wells i am not sure, but i am pretty sure the offsets would have to be in the teens to low 20s.

could anyone please find out what offsets we would need to run to fit 8.5 in wide to 10 in wide wheels on our NSRT4s. i dont care if the tire sticks out of the wheel well as i i would use these just for drag and 1/4mile racing anyhow.

Where do you plan on getting these mystical 8.5-10" rims?

wheel measurement is from the inside of the bead, not the outside. That's also why if you measure the wheel diameter across the face, it'll be something like 18.7" instead of 17.
