i am currently looking at the falken 912 tires for my stockers and came across this thread. and i decided to pull one in a stock 205 50 17 and one in a 225 45 17... then i measured the tire from the outside of the bead to the oppsite beads outside... 205 50 was 7.5 from outside to outide and then the 225 45 wasnt quite 7.75... does that really make that much of a differnce? basically each side of the side wall will have to move inward 1/8th inch on the bead of the tire?

maybe it just depends on the brand?

but anyways any idea if thats gonna be a hige deal?

i work at sears auto. so i decided to pull em and measure them. i feel like an ass for asking but its just so close.
