im not saying there is issues with smaller wheels......but i have been noticing and came to the conclusion that running smaller wheels is affecting the performance of the slicks.....it making the slick not put a full contact patch down......

i used to pull 1.8 60's all day on a set of 7.5" wheels with dot approved street slicks.....and with full out slicks on pt cruiser wheels i cant pull any better....and the wear pattern on the slick even shows only a partial patch

good luck finding a wheel.

the kosei or the rota wheel has been used very often with slicks of that size with good results.

keep in mind that you're going to be running real slicks at lower tire pressure which should increase the contact patch.

or are these wheels for your dot tires?

if i have to go with a 7" i will.....i know the kosei's and rota work......

these wheels are going to be for 8.5x26x15 slicks....i know on lower pressures the slicks have more of a patch.....but when the tires start spinning it amplifies the problems.....because he center of the tire will expand when spinning.....so during the first 330 feet is where the problems lie.....

You need to contact a company like Bogart or Diamond Wheels and get a set custom made.
