Tranny question HELP! - SRT Forums

I think i might keep the SRT after all but i need to get this fixed ASAP if i am cause its bothering the shit out of me!!!

Any one know a good shop or any of you guys that can help me out with my transmission? my 3rd gear grinds when going in sometimes, and it will pop out when i downshift also my 1st gear is kind of rough too, almost like a clicking feeling everytime i try to shift... ive done a search here and it sounds like it could be the 3/4 shift fork or the syncro... Im an idiot when it comes to transmissions so if any of you guys can give me some input or help i'd appreciate it... also if this has happened to you before, how much did you pay to get it fixed and what was the problem?!? thanks!

Hey, my trans does it too! Ive learned not to hold on to the shifter after downshifting to 3rd, otherwise if it does pop out, it grinds and sounds like I dont know how to drive a manual.

I believe the problem is the syncro. I have yet to fix mine though, or get a new clutch. Not being able to go past half throttle sucks.

Take it to Fwd Performance.

Shift selector (about to snap)

I'd replace those parts for sure and do not replace the shift selector with a stock one. Do not.
Also if its popping out of gear it is on its way out for sure. The damage us done the tranny will eventually die on you, I promise.

EXTENDED WARRANTY FTMFW!!! I wasnt sure if i had it still, but i DO!! droping it off tomorrow then leaving to Florida for a week and when i get back, Problem solved!

Good to hear. My tranny locked up on me while downshifting a while back, cost me $100 for a brand new tranny throught the dealer.

My '05 did it at 25k miles.Then let Carlos drive my car and on my way home the shift selector went lmao good times. Got replaced under warranty thanx to some help by a fellow member

Thats a 10-4 its paid off now i just need to get it back together fully. I have another toy now so im just slowly working on it, why?

I thought about parting it out,but its paid off now and i almost have it back together so im just keeping it,was going to get me a truck,but ive been driving the diesel trucks the past 3 months and screw that $130 to fill up blows so i got a toy. Ill have to make it up there here sometime soon i just realized its been almost a yr and a half since ive come to a meat(lol) up there.
