Default Houston/Galveston and In-between thread/AKA Sheet Talking Sundays

We need our own thread.. Post recent issues, modification, talk and bullshiz..

I'll start, today I saw a blue srt on 45 with a flat tire.. I can't remember the guys screen name.. Believe he is a stage 3.. Dude I would have turned around to assist but I was parallel to you when I noticed and I would have had to turn around after the causeway, and I was on my way to work ftl.... Was it tntlwh??

Yep that was me. hit a nail or something taking the exit from texas city. I was able to change it pretty quickly so all is well.

Guess I will post what im going to be doing and what I have done to the car recently. I purchased some new rims and tires last week and they should be here sometime this week or next. Im currently putting together a trunk mount meth kit to run with the stage 3. Right now im tuned with diablosport pushing 22-23 psi and 18-20 degrees of timing with afr's in the mid to high 11's and an occasional .5-1 degree of st knock. hoping to take to 25 psi with 25-30 degrees of timing after the meth. also in a few weeks im going to be putting in some stage 2 cams and changing the timing belt/water pump etc.

Nice, I was thinking about doing some bc cams in the future as well. I want a little more flow.

I recently bought some spacers that would be a whore to install, so im trading them in for the wot/no lift shift. I figure I can't drive worth a crap at the track so I need some extra help.

Myself and a few others went to baytown last friday and I ran a best of 13.064 on drag radial's with a 2.2 60 and 113 mph .. I was getting some wheelhop so i would have to let out a little sooner than I wanted to in first and then I would get lag going into second. Dr's work sometimes but last friday was kinda embarrassingfor me. Honestly I've run better on street tires with lower boost 21psi 12.87 @115

Also I suffered from spark blowout which pretty much screwed me all night till the last run which I was the 13.064 but i was rushed threw the pass due to a broken vette in the other lane. This made for a crappy tractionless run.. Between driver mod, mis-shifting and traction issues this is the best I could do.. Guess I'll need to go up there when its in tip top shape.

I like this thread ...i would suggest staying closer to 25 degrees. Hops Propane, in Sante Fe, has a nice selection of Meth.......Not just M1! If you're going BC then stage 2 is cool, if you are going Crower I would suggest looking into the Stage 1's unless you have head work!

HHmmm about the BC's.....

If you are still getting wheel hop you need to consider doing the "Energy Suspension" Mod. I'm sure your control arm bushings are shot along with your front struts. "Short-shifting" is your enemy........Truth hurts, but just sayin'

Bigger than stock turbos should have a gap of .025"-.032"

It didn't break up after we put the .028 gapped plugs in. You think it's necessary to go 1 step colder for my setup?

It's nearly impossible to hotlap at baytown..lol.

Sounds good though, I have a hotside pipe boostleak as well to tighten up.. After I get the wot box installed and the few other things that need to be done, Im going back to the track. Probably next month, this time I'm going to sealy.. It's a drive but I don't have to wait and wait and wait to make a pass..

I'll get that boost leak tester back to you as well.
