HID Problems!!!

So about a month ago I bought Modern Performance Halos and 6k HID's from Dave aka IllegalMachine. Well when we originally tried installing the HID's it kept blowing the driver side 10a fuse, so after some debating I then put in a 15a fuse. (I know thats not what youre really supposed to do) It worked perfectly fine with that fuse up until tonite. No it keeps blowing the 15a fuse. DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHY?!?!?! Im starting to get a little frustrated.

P.S. - I also noticed that when i twist my light switch the fogs come on, then when i pull out the knob the lights turn on. It is reversed, it is also like that on my buddy's 05. Could that also contribute to the problem?

I don't know why it's blowing the fuse but check the grounds...usually they're really shitty on HID kids. I had to re-do mine.

Going through and checking the grounds is a good idea. I told you your fuse box was a mess with so many wires going in and out. I'd consider going through and rewiring all of your stuff.

That's just the "fog light mod". Not that big of a deal. I don't think it has anything to do with the problem.

Do u have a safety relay Hooked up on ur HID kit, or did u just plug and play?

Personally, i would start by un-doing this mod and putting it back to normal. Once that is complete, if it does not work, go thru the mess that is in your fuse box. Do a search or have Dave send you a link showing how to do (undo) this mod. I don't trust it.

buy a relay harnest from ebay for like 12 bucks and ur problems solved
