Galveston Cruise (2-12-06) - SRT Forums

Are you ready for the 1st big cruise of 2006!? On Sunday 2-12-06 there will be two (2) meeting spots for Northsiders and Southsiders. Once the groups have merged. I will lead you on a great open fun run down to Surfside Beach and then turn up the coast to Galveston Island. On the island we'll stop for lunch/drinks....then we will have a photo-shoot on the slopped wall down by East Beach. Once we are done there we will head back to Houston.

*Northside*:
-Location: The Hooter's parking lot on I-45 and FM 1960.
-Time: 8AM with a 8:45AM roll out.

*Southside*:
-Location: 288 @ FM 518 (2 exits south of Beltway 8) in front of the Target Supercenter. You can't miss it.....it's on the north bound side of 288.
-Time: 8:30AM with a 9:15AM roll out.

We will be eating at Joe's Crab Shack on the seawall @ 37th St. There is a side parking lot just for HPD.

What will I need?!:
-Full tank of gas.
-2 way radios. (this is a must)
-Radar Dect.
-Lunch $$$.
-Positive attitude.
-Map. (I will provide the map at both meet locations)
-Vid Camera.
-$2 for toll bridge.***

This will be a 110% safe cruise I promise you. This run will be H.P.D. and friends just driving in one large group. This is NOT* a Cannonball event, the first person to Surfside does not win a prize. This will be another cruise to capture more footage for the H.D.P. DVD I'm working on. Note: There will be no problem with a spirited driving once out of the city. However, pick your battles very carefully and do not attempt anything outside your driving skills.

Note: This will be a long cruise lasting most of the day. Also there will 1 toll to pay at the San Luis Pass bridge. It's proly no more than 2$.

watch the cops! Make sure ur tints legal!! We had a cruise not but a couple weeks ago and were called in as "racing" when it was just about 20 cars cruising along and got ticketed for illegal tint! Galveston = bad cruise spot

why come in and post negative stuff? just roll down your windows if you see a cop if you have illegal tint and don't do anything stupid while your in galveston, do all the fun run stuff on the highway before we get there.
