I went to the ups store today to get a quote and was told they won't ship empty nitrogen bottles because they are explosive in planes even when empty.... Not that it would need to be flow from Houston to Dallas. Anyways, if anyone knows of a shipping company that will ship nitrous bottles please let me know.

As for being explosive on planes - I highly doubt that. I'm pretty sure a Coke can would explode before a nitrous bottle, and they have drinks on just about every commercial flight.
