Default EVO or Scoobie

Eventhough my time with the SRT has been fun I feel it is time for a new car. I just don't feel as into my srt as before. I will more than likely be an evo or scoobie. I like both pretty equal w/ a slight preferance to the evo. wich do you guys think I should go with and why? Gimme the good and bad on either one.

Go test drive them both.

If you plan to mod the evo, plan to spend good amounts of $ for tuning them. If you put a turbo-back on the car without tuning for it, you actually LOSE power (this was proven in an import magazine I used to read). They lost 17whp, then tuned it and gained 30something whp over the baseline.

well, ive gone over this quite a few times but i'll do it again...i made 292hp and 321ftlbs on the stock turbo, tuned with intake, exhaust, and methanol injection...that might not sound like alot but if you wanna verify with Engine Logics that their dyno reads about 20% lower, go right ahead...i'de be making 350hp and 380ftlbs on a regular dyno and my AFRs are 11.1 at redline and its EXTREMELY SAFE !!!!!!!...Engine Logics tuned it very conservatively and very safe...i only spent $1500 in mods and tune...

the STi's tranny is bullet proof...you could throw it into the sun and nothing would happen to it...plan to NEVER replace or rebuild the STi tranny cuz it's indestructable...the EVO tranny is softer than a highschool girls pussy and will implode under stock horsepower...it DOES have a bigger turbo (EVO 9) and can be made faster in stock form than an STi, but if you wanna take the chance in replacing the entire drivetrain, then that's on you my brother...

my stock clutch has held up under countless launches and roll races...ask around the Houston guys, they'll tell you how many racing miles i've logged in my car...

again, the interior is better IMO and i've been in both cars...i LOVE the way my STi sounds with a turbo back exhaust...

i've let about 10 people in Houston take my car out and donkey stomp it...needless to say they were very impressed with how that thing pulled at any speed...it has great top end as well...

carlos nice
