DCR Srt4 Shootout Event - SRT Forums

Since this is being held here in the great state of TX i thought id see who all is planning on going. Heres the info from DCR...

Just got off the phone with NHRA's Javier Ortega and he has invited DCR out to Texas to host and run a SRT-4 National Event . This is a two race event...the first being a Sport FWD Race as seen in the NHRA Sport Compact Series. Darrell Cox Racing is proud to announce its first SRT-4 National Drag Race Event in tandem with the Sport FWD Event . We confirmed the date of Saturday May 31st at Texas Motorplex (Dallas). This will be for ANY SRT-4 to compete in!(must pass tech inspection for et that you run). This is a Bracket Race running on dial in on a full tree with 3 qualifying sessions (time runs). Total DCR Payout...Winner takes home $1000 cash, Runner Up $500 cash and Semi Finalist $250 casheach.

Kevin Van Natten's "Red Sled" will be on hand competing ONLY in the Sport FWD Class . Kevins DCR prepped SRT-4 Caliber will be on hand for display and time runs. The DCR SRT-4 HotRod (Mike Crawford) will be on hand making 7 second exhibition runs . Darrell Cox Racing will be on hand as vendor and event coordinator. We will be serving refreshments and doing raffles for DCR product. Javier will be making final arrangements with DCR this week and we will have an event schedule by next week .

On a side note I am also considering doing a top eight "Quick Eight" heads up SRT-4 main event. Let me know what you think!

So its not an SRT only event! The other non SRT classes bracket too? I hate brackets,but since dont have a 7 sec ride,I'm prob better off. Might have to nab a set of up to date harnesses now and head gasket

hey even if you dont like DCR its still an Op to see the fastest SRT in the world and im sure a tone of other and probably some fine ass girls to

I'll be attending if i can get some MH 24.5 slicks ill run but i gotta sell my 26x8.5x15 M/T first $250 shipped anyone?!?!?!?!
