I know for sure that i have a ripped cv boot. Can that be the problem. And if i get that cv boot fixed will it go away. Help please i need to know fast and roughly how much does it cost for a cv boot to get fixed and any good shops in Houston .

Just to fix the boot isnt it like $50 not including taking it off which even I can do. As far as that being the problem, Dunno.

The ripped cv boot is not the problem, but may be where it started, or a result. You more than likely have a bad cv joint. Either it tore the boot, or the boot being tore caused it to lose grease. The axles aren't too expensive...

About $120 each.

If you do just need a boot because it's not the reason, let me know which one and I can get one for you.

The boot may have been where it started, or it may have ripped after the joint broke. An axle doesn't require a boot, but it does require grease. To keep the grease, it needs the boot. So either something broke and ripped the boot open, or more likely something ripped the boot... the grease came out, and the axle is junk because of lack of grease.

That's up to the dealer. They should if the springs didn't have anything to do with teh problem... but not all dealers do what they should.

More than likely they wont' stock the part. Most dealers can get the part next day, depending on the parts truck schedule and size of the dealer.
