This car just became the fastest, quickest sport compact in STL, and no it is not mine. First time at the track for the car from what I understand.
"Jason Hunt, driving Charlie Schafer's brand-new Cobalt, ran 9.93/150.21 and 9.87/150.97 on its first two passes last night at Gateway.
The car, built by Dave Zientara Racecraft in St. Charles, still has the dealership window stickers intact ($14,450 for an '06 Cobalt LS Coupe) and has temporary plates. It uses a T6-boosted 2.2 making it STL's quickest and fastest FWD 4-cylinder by a few miles, too."

I just saw this apparantly it happened about a month ago. I am now wondering why the 2.2 cobalts are bitching about not having enough mods if this one ran a 9.8

Because the Ecotec has had a fairly successful race program and I'd hate to imagine the amount of money and work into that car. Excuse the grammar, but that ain't no regular 2.2.
BTW a street Focus made it into the 10's before the SRT-4 did and they don't even come with any forced induction here in the US. Drop enough cash on parts and development and you can make almost anything quick (and that's not to downplay this car, as it's a very impressive accomplishment).
