Big turbo guys in the Texas heat ... questions for ya ....
Just wondering what, if anything, you big turbo/bolt ons guys with 400-500 whp do differently during the intense Tx summer heat ?
I mean, do you turn your boost down ? Or tune your AFRs differently ?
I'm concerned about running my 500whp, 50 trim car hard with any safety ( WOT ) when the temps are so crazy high outside.

do u have a wideband and a scanguage?
just normal driving you should be fine as long as your not racing during the 100 degree weather just monitor knock and your AFRs and you should be ok

Yeah ... I have everything to make sure it's ok, but I've never owned a turbo car in this kind oh heat and humidity.
You say to not race the car in the high heat ... Does that mean that all big turbo SRT-4s in Texas race ONLY for the roughly 4 or so months when the weather is cooler ? That sucks if so !

It doesnt matter how hot it is. You are not going to make as much power but as long as your afr are right and there is no knock you should be ok.

Turn your boost down during the heat of the day. If you have a 50 trim making 500hp, you are maxing that turbo out and are on the edge of it's efficiency range. Everytime you hit boost you will make heat inless you have some kinda h20/alky injection or something. What are you using to tune? If it's the SAFC be careful and definately keep the boost down during the heat of the day. Also invest in a 180 degree stat and the fan mod. Does wonders while cruising and while stuck in traffic.

im running the AEM EMS and have been tuning for the heat...the Water/Meth injection ive got helps a lot...im sure you will be fine as long as you tune for the heat on your SAFC.

The "o2 feedback" should keep your car safe no matter the weather. Adjust your "o2 FB" chart to the a/f's you want and then turn the feedback on. It will keep you car at that airfuel no matter what. Having h20/alky injection works great with this also
First do go wot in the stupid hot heat, or just wait till the
evening to hit the go button.
Second get a DD if ur that concerned
Third w/m injection will do ur motor wonders.
