That guy in the corvette needs some work on his car... That lighting was on his ass...feel bad for a guy in a corvette that spent 60k on his zo6 and a lighting hangs with him unitl 3rd gear....
My Barber runs 12.8 in his lightning. He has a pulley upgrade and chip and a few other gizmo's. They also grab pretty well for a truck. He runs nitto DR's and cut's 1.8 60ft's. The z06 on the other hand can be very hard to launch if you disable it's traction control.

You are so misinformed. I spent less than $45k on mine and have you seen what some of the modded Lightnings can do?
I have seen what some of the modded Lightnings can do...I got $700 in mine and it runs times in sig on stock F1's...nothing special.
I have only seen two Z06's at the track...both ran high 12's@111-113 mph...I think they were lemons. The only place I have seen them run faster is on the internet...I have also seen a few dyno being that I work part time at a dyno shop. 360-370 rwhp...which is not to shabby.
Don't get me wrong, but I give a lightning more respect than a corvette...Corvette is fast, but compare the price between them...better deal from that truck that runs with the vette for a lot less
That Lightning isn't going to be able to run around a track like the Vette can though.
I love the Lightning but saying the Z06 isn't a killer deal for the price is nuts.
A Z06 is good for what it is but 99.9% of people out there buy cars because they're fast in a straight line. Its only a small amount of people out there who care about what their car/truck can do on a autox course
If I only cared about a straight line I would have bought an 03' or newer Mustang Cobra...put just al ittle $$ in it and be done...BUT I like staight lines/curves/ and braking...which the Cobra or the Lightning can't do too well.
