that was the gayest race ever, there are just normal cars driving faster then the race that's going on.

This thread was not pointing at the race, it is pointing at the engine swap. If you want to see a good race, why don't you go to the srt video section.

I sure It can't be THAT heavy, more of a chance to hook up all that powah to the wheels. That engine has a lot of potential.

I wouldn't have the balls to race in florida.....they auction your car off & you don't get it back if you get caught, plus jailtime, and loss of your license for like 5+ years??

not bashing, just stating.....I race on the street sometimes, but I wouldn't do it in florida, they have 0 tolerance, lol.

I built the car in that video here at my shop in Louisiana.. We are the first to swap a Maxima VQ35DE into the Spec V. Believe it or not... it's actually a pretty easy swap. I offer a swap kit with mounts, VQ bellhousing (bolts onto spec v trans) all bolts/nuts, etc.. That particular car went 12.90 @ 105mph on 22x8 slicks. It's a bone stock VQ, with a short ram and filter, and a 2.25" exhaust. The car is like a go-kart! The engine weight is about 60lbs more than the existing engine in the car.. so it's not THAT big of a difference. Relocate the battery, and/or carbon fiber hood, and you're good.

Its the Maxima variant of the VQ, because of the FWD. Actually the motor weighs only ~60lbs more than the stocker.

edit- oops travis you beat me to it
