Ws6 isn't much faster than any other T/A anyway. Cobra puts out 360-370rwhp stock. It's going to get smoked.

Cobras can run 12.7's, The WS6 will constantly run 13.2-13.4, and one time MT tested a '98 Z28, bonestock not SS, and it ran a 12.98. I hardly think it will get walked, but it won't win.

WS6's aren't particularily fast, they are fast, just not super quick. I raced one at the track, and sure he beat me 14.2 to my 14.3. (I crossed the line 1st due to a better reaction time.) It was a good race for a SRT-4 with driver skill being a large factor, not a Mustang Cobra R, The Mustang is more for Vettes then Camaro's and Firebirds.

We owned a 2000 WS6 for a year and a half. Let me say that they are fast cars and "cant stop spinning", the guy that you raced obviously can't drive for crap. The WS6 was rated @ 320 hp (underrated by GM) and the Firehawk only had like 7 more, might've gone to 335 hp the last year it was built. There is one reason, and one reason only that the WS6's and SS Camaro's couldn't run with a new Cobra and it's called the Corvette. You think GM is gonna build a Firebird that can run with a Vette? Think how pissed the Vette guys would be after they just threw down $50K.

you mean the snake eater video of the 98 WS6 with juice spanking the stock cobra? Or maybe the cobra had a few mods, but nothing like pulley swaps or anything. I do believe i have the video but i would need a host.

Ive seriously never ever heard of LT1s running low 13s stock with anything. Do you mean LS1? Because last i heard LT1s run about the same time as a Mustang GT, low 14s to high 14s.

They all put out the same power really, the vette just wins because it weighs a good 400 pounds less.

What he said made plenty of sense. He said he had a 97 (last year of LT1). The LT1's are an Iron block also as opposed to the all aluminum Ls1. He modded his LT1 and we aren't talking stock.

I own an LT1 and have plenty of LT1 and LS1 friends. Provided the right driver, these cars are capable of sick times!! Hell, my LIGHTLY modded 94 LT1 is in the 11s....talkin' about pissin' Vette guys off. I've seen plenty lightly modded LS1s walk Cobras...not an insurmountable task by any means. There's a regular at our local 8th mile track with an 03 Cobra and pulley...runs 8.3-8.1 rather consistent...wow...my headers/exhaust/PCM/4.10 otherwise stock LT1 runs 8.1s (at the time...I've since upgraded the rear to a 12 bolt and 4.30). The driver mod is the single most over-looked and under-explored modification out there.

So you need 4.10's to hang with a stock Cobra with it's 3.55's. And now your running 4.30's? well thats nice you'll be able to edge him out in the 1/8 but in the 1/4 your be running out of steam. But my dads 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham that weighs damn near 5000 lbs has only a K&N intake system, 1LE intake elbow, A 160 degree 'stat, PCM re-flash w/LT1-Edit, Rapid-Fire plugs, Custom 2.5" dual exhaust w/3-chamber FlowMaster mufflers and 3.73 gears w/Detroit Locker diff. and its running low 14's. So if a boat can run those times I hope the sports cars with the same LT1 in it can run better times then that
