There has been some talk about what the 5.9L Dakota's are capable of and many people don't know how quick they can really be. Just thought I would show you what that motor is capable of when it is in a Jeep Grand Cherokee w/AWD.
1998 5.9L (Stroked to 6.7 408) w/over 500hp + nitrous, street tires, full interior. Still has some tuning left to do, and has more nitrous to go….expecting low 11’s and possibly high 10’s very soon. Not bad for a vehicle that weighs about 4000lbs.
Questions from other members:
Q: do u know if the power supply could be used from a car battery?? let me know thnx
A: I think 12 volts is ok but I don't Know for sure.
Q: sorry one more question, how fast is a 400 speed motor?
A: Thats very irrelevant. What are you trying to do?
I am sure he was suprised...of course the plate on the back does say FAST408 There was a video I posted before of it beating a Blue SRT pretty bad. The guy that owned the SRT said that his car was vibrating just from the motor in the Jeep at idle. There were a couple of other passes and his best trap was 119mph.
