Default SNEAK PEEK: 2005 Topless PT Cruiser to go on sale in spring

Chrysler has been gradually fleshing out its PT Cruiser family, with the introduction in the past year of a 'woody' version and a high-performance turbocharged model.
The next addition to the range will be a convertible, first seen in concept form at the 2001 New York Auto Show and confirmed for production at the 2002 Geneva auto show.
Chrysler has said the PT Cruiser convertible will go on sale in spring 2004, probably as an '05 model. Like the Geneva concept, the production version is a two-door soft top with accommodations for four adults. It features a folding canvas top and a 'basket handle' rollbar. The rear seats also can be folded to create a two-seater with a huge cargo area.
Chrysler reportedly will offer both the normally aspirated and turbo four-cylinder engines, mated to an Auto Stick transmission.

Default Rag Top PT

That is slick looking! Now we need about 300 HP in some form and the drivetrain to go with it! Cool!

they need to put a v6 in there. Yes i know one cant fit but that car should have more power then the SRT's 2.4 T...

Any plans on them brining out a 2 door hardtop model? Now that would be fun...

Eventually that may happen.

The purpose for the PT being called a truck was to help DC in truck fuel averages until they come out with a compact truck size.

Though, that hasn't happen since the M80 was cancelled or put on hold for now. Lets hope by the 05-model refresh, that there is a another upgrade in the powertrain.

Does DCX have a V6 that has more torque than the 2.4 Turbo?
