Exclamation S2 for GT Cruiser

I am debating between buying the SRT-4 or a GT Cruiser here in the next month and a half or so. I have priced out an SRT-4 and S2 but there is no S2 for the GT as of yet so I really can't compare apples to apples. My question is this: if they both share the same powerplant, why is ther any difference in the PCM? Can I buy a S2 for an SRT-4 and use it on a GT Cruiser? Vendors, any input?

Are far as we know no one has tried it yet and according to some old posts on the PT Cruiser sites there could be a couple of problems.

First, there are no SRT4 automatic equipped cars...so if you buy a PT you will need to buy a 5-spd. if your going to try and run the SRT4 Stage 2 kit on it. In other words the SRT4 Stage 2 kit has no port on it to control the PT auto-stick.

Second, it was thought that you would have problems trying to run cruise control and possibly your A/C. It was also mentioned that the speedometer may not function properly or at all.

Until someone decides to cough up $900 for an experiment...we'll never know.

One DCX employee who had offered to help the Cruiser owners was discussing the tecnical differences and possible workarounds for this at a Cruiser site. I can't say if this is what got him banned by DCX from posting threre, but it has been speculated that that is the reason.

There is hope that the PTs might get a non-toys version, I think. Anyone with hard kowledge, feel free to speak up.
