Default PT Cruiser with a Stratus motor (6 cylinder)

I just witness a Pt with a Stratus 6 cylinder. Is this the next generation PT?

At a gas station in Carlsbad. The hood was raised and when I glanced over I could not believe it. It was a Stratus motor. One of the guys were tickering with something under the hood while the other guy was filling the tank.

A standard Cruiser with no aftermarket markings. I wish I had a camera though.

Default Mother's Fleet

The folks from Mother's have some slick vehicles. All are painted that bright RED that they use for most everything. If it was the Mother's PT it would be that bright red color.

In Detroit...(concept testing)

In Death Valley during the summer. (heat testing)

In Mesa Arizona...track testing

In Carlsbad...design and concept testing

In Alaska for cold weather testing

Now forgetting south of the border for engine, dyno runs, and few other things for the shutter bug.

Ok....it is confirmed. The vehicle was a test mule on the latest V-6 drop in motor.

However, I didn't see any markings and no plugs centered in the valve covers to be considered a Hemi. Hmm....though it will give the Cruiser more power.

Did you happen to catch what motor. 2.5, 2.7 or 3.0? Weird thing is the 2.4 turbo make more power then all those v6's.

What I am hearing that the HEMI 6 is the motor of choice but unless the man willing to say it...it is still up in the air.

However, the powerplant is capable of 300 HP or close to it.
