I know this has had to have been posted before, but why is there no stage III kit for the PT cruiser? If someone would just post a link, that would be great, yeah.
I would loved to have seen how stage 2 or 3 would have worked with the auto tranny in the pt's. Would have made one hell of a sleeper, plus you can pick up pt gt's dirt cheap.
There were numerous people waiting for stage II, but for some reason mopar scrapped it. So many of us have gone different routes like fuel management and even a few fitting larger turbos to bring us past what stage II would have done.
Its a demand thing. Ive seen some percentage numbers somewhere of how many S1 kits were bought by GT owners, and it is INCREDIBLY small. Of course, IMO, that has to do with DCX not advertising it very well. Most owners arent even aware that stage kits exist.
Also, the auto tranny is only claimed to handle about 280-300wtq. Making a kit availiable, made by the manufactuer themselves, that would smoke the tranny wouldnt seem very logical. I think its over 70% of owners bought the autostick so making it only availiable to the 30% doesnt fly in the marketing department.
You're right on the auto to manual tranny #'s... and I think by that logic you're right on, too much power. That might even be why they pulled stage 2. I'd guess either no demand or they found the tranny couldn't handle the power and last, i.e. long-term durability.
I was just wondering if it was some kind of issue with the PT having non common parts, which I don't think it even does...

Our turbo kit for the GT will be out fairly soon. Last time I checked it was mostly on, but we are so busy with SRT4 stuff that we have trouble finding time to install it.
is AGP working on many different turbo kits for the PT? I heard something about a turbo upgrade awhile back, but it was just going to be a modified 3147. Just what I heard...from someone I dont know.....on some forum that I cant remember.
