Default Would It Be Safe To......

run the brights off of the fog wiring?
Reason is I have the fogs ran on their own circuit and would like to run the heads and brights at the same time using the fog switch to control the brights.
I have the halo projectors.

my fogs are on their own circuit,...fused, relayed and with a switch.

Doesn't the stock setup for the fogs run on a relay already?

No it pulls power from the low beams. I know this because I burned up my wiring harness doing it.

As far as safe, as long as you pull your source from the battery and it is fused, and you have a diode or resistor on the switch side of the relay, then you would be fine.

You need the diode or resistor to manage the kickback EMF generated from the switch side coil of the relay.

Here's one other thing to think about though. You're talking about running 120watts worth of heat through the stock headlight connector, stock housing and stock headlight bulb. I think there is a really good chance you would melt the wiring, explode the bulb or melt the actual headlight lens/housing if you ran it that way for too long.

Gotcha! So it's best to not even run hi n low together. Just because of running the risk of melting the lens alone
Maybe I will run the stock fog wiring to the halos or will that pull too much also?

Why do you want your high beams on at the same time? You could do a retro which will give you alot more light than the junk halos, and with bixenons you wont have to worry about running two bulbs at the same time.

I don't know very much about the halos, but I believe they use LEDs to light them. As long as the LED is for 12v (Some are not) then you should be fine. The stock fogs are run in parallel and each bulb is about 30w if I am not mistaken, so you could run up to 60w from the feed and maintain the stock load on the multi-function switch. I don't know of a LED that is more than about 4w so you are probably fine.

If the halos are lit using some other bulb (Like the kind used for side markers) you should be fine because I believe they are around 5w or so.

yes, the leds in the halos are 12 volt...also, i would still run a relay because even stock wattage can kill the multi function switch
