Default will these work with hids?

Just wanted to know if these will work with HIDS. The specs say they won't. Are they painted inside or is it black plastic?

it depends how you define "work". If you get the right bulb size they will fit, however they are halogen housings and will throw ugly glare everywhere. The proper way would be buying the ebay projectors or doing a retrofit. Check Hak's retrofit How To and other HID stickies up top of the lighting section for specifics/more info.

so the headlight won't get to hot or melt though? I have to buy either a driver's side stock headlight or a new set of aftermarket one's and I have HIDS already and not willing to chop up anything.

HID's run cooler than Halogen so you'll be just fine.
