Default why do people take out fog lights?

so, why do they?? I always see pics of peoples srt-4's with out any foglights and i always wondered why?

the theory is that it allows direct air flow to the brakes to keep them cool and cut down on brake fade.

for some they use the drivers side hole to create a ram intake type of thing. Others want to use the as brake ducts. Which I think would be pretty damn good.
